Who is a candidate
for PLDD?
If you’re suffering with
the chronic back pain caused by disc herniation, you might
be a candidate for percutaneous laser disc
decompression, or PLDD. This advanced procedure
is geared specifically towards people with
disc herniation that is associated with any
of the following:
- Persistent pain in the legs, arms, neck,
or lower back
- Pain that persists even after at least
6 weeks of traditional treatments like
bed rest, medication, or physical therapy
- X-ray confirmation as result of
MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), CAT scan,
discography,
and/or myelography
